Programs for schools vary. The most popular option
is a 10 hour program which involves the use of a single reusable rocket
and two expendable motors per student and extra expendable motors for
extra flights based on the
the students' personal budget, or PTA budgeting to prevent income based peer pressure. The 10 hour program includes 2 hours of instruction, 4 hours of building and technique, and 4 hours of group flight time. This simple scenario has proven over the decades to be the most effective for all parties: students, teachers, schools, and vendors. If more activity time is available or if several "levels" will be implemented, one can transition from simple rocket to two stage to higher power, and even to instrumented rockets with commercially available electronic payloads. It is all here for you, your program and your students. Help students learn what the learning of math, science, chemistry, physics and aerospace is actually for, and motivate them to go to college, whether or not rocket science is their calling, higher education is!
