Interchangable Motor Mounts
Interchangable Motor Mounts allow you to prep several power systems in advance of a launch and get several flights off quickly while the weather or other conditions are prefect. It is convenient to have several propulsion options to choose from for each of several rocket airframes so whatever motors you have or want to use that day are an easy and quick motor mount change away. Living the U.S. Rockets lifestyle is fun and easy. Fly high and fast, or low and slow, but have fun and fly safely.

Different users try modifications of the basic system, often with clusters.
Here is a user that has a Tall Tail 10 who used the stock motor retention
for 54mm, 29mm, and 24mm, but modified the 3x24mm mount to utilize a central
retainer bolt. The red painted tube is the thrust ring. Masking tape goes
over the location where the thrust ring contacts the motor tube to keep the
motor and mount from ejecting out the back of the rocket when the parachute
deployment charge is activated. It allows any length motor to be used as well!

This central bolt is itself long enough to account for common motor lengths.
